Happy 2020! The new year is here, another chance for us to experience renewal, growth, positive change, healing, more love and hold nourishing thoughts in our mind and hearts.

To start us off in the right energy, take a minute right now to think of one thing you are grateful for, just one for now. Mine is: I am grateful because I am a beacon of optimism.

As you go about your day, remind yourself of your daily mantra and repeat it to yourself throughout the day as you are working at your desk, grabbing a coffee, working out, taking a walk and right before you close your eyes at the end of the night.

Gratitude changes our perspective, it is necessary for our mental health, aids our physical well being and reminds us that we are powerful, important, loving, kind, spiritual, faithful and healing every single day.

You are important. You are kind. You are faithful. You are spiritual. You are healing.

You are powerful.

Every day repeat positive and life affirming affirmations and mantras before work, after work, during a drive, as you are eating lunch, when you are surrounded by people that might not have the best energy, when you are bored, do it as often as you can.

Whenever we have the opportunity to change a negative narrative into a positive one, that is when we are doing the work necessary to propel us into greatness and prosperity this year.

Positive Habits

On average, it takes 66 days to build a habit and building positive energy in your life is a habit that should come first, before everything else. Positivity, faith, love and healing need to be a priority in your life, no matter how busy or tired you are because even the most successful people in this world make time for self-love.

Your success should be determined on how much faith you hold, the self-love in your body, the support you give to to others, the words you speak into your life, the positive and energetic people you surround yourself with day to day. Not the job you hold, the money you have, the fancy “this and that,” materialistic things are disposable – they fill a need in the moment but the love you have for yourself and others carries into each day.

Now don’t get me wrong, I wish abundance for all of us! I’m actually reading the book You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth by Jen Sincero and already have learned so many gems for a great wealth mindset. Highly suggest checking this book out!

I have also been doing a manifesting challenge since January 1st and it has been the perfect opportunity to press restart and allow myself to really look at the habits I want to implement into my life this year.

A few habits I want to stay consistent with include: wake up early (5-6am) to be exact, practice yoga 2 -3 times a week, daily walks, journaling everyday, read more books and spend less time on my phone, mentorship, volunteering and building community.

That being said, we are a few weeks into January so it is time to start implementing these habits and allow ourselves the freedom to renew our mind, health and spirit.

Take a moment to think of which habits you want to focus on in these next 2 months. Now, when you have these set in your heart, write them down somewhere you can see everyday and journal your progress as often as you can, preferably everyday!

Practice self-love when you have an off day and feel free to share your progress/ thoughts with me! We are all in this journey together.

Now is the chance to start something new and renew your soul and mind.
