Reflexión of 2018 | #SoulSesiones

It was the year, 2018.

This year was beautiful, life changing, truly one of its kind. There were many lessons learned this year, so many laughs, tears, warm embraces and much time spent reflecting, growing and glowing.

Getting out of our comfort zones is a necessary part of growth, sometimes we embrace it, other times we don’t as much, nonetheless it’s a part of the growth process and almost always, we come out swinging on the other side.

I came across the most beautiful quote the other day and it read, “It wasn’t luck that got you this far this year, it was God’s favor.” This was absolutely true for me, I launched Soul Sesiones mid year and was reminded that time is of the essence and there is no better time than now. In the beginning of any new venture, it is normal to feel doubts and or a bit of fear, but that is what keeps us going, the not knowing what will happen is God showing us that is he always there for us, it is Gods favor. This was the best lesson I could have been shown this year, staying true to my faith and never letting go of it.

We all have different stories, come from different walks of life and despite this, we are all the same. The commonalities between me and someone else, it could be any person really, we are both just trying to get through this thing called life, one day at a time. Most of us forget this really simple concept as we are going about our days, when we are in line at a coffee shop, stuck in traffic on the freeway, grabbing lunch during our full-time or part-time jobs. We forget that we are all the same, truly. Many of us are experiencing the same things, many of us might be struggling in similar ways, many of us might have had a successful day or week, many of us might be happy, sad, frustrated, exhausted, nostalgic, hopeful, creative, positive, faithful, growing, evolving. etc. I have always known this to be true and I truly believe my purpose in life is to spread positivity to others however I can. I hope I stay true to my purpose for however long I live, God willing.

Soul Sesiones

Social media continues to be a blessing in my life, not just for my career but also for Soul Sesiones. I am so blessed to have connected with some wonderful people online, individuals who I have never met in person and yet they support my platform, Soul Sesiones. I aspire in making real connections with others and my true focus in launching Soul Sesiones this year was in reminding myself and those who watch in staying positive and inspired in our everyday lives. I am thrilled to continue being a student of life and share my learnings with you. Soul Sesiones has sparked a light in me and I am so grateful to have found my light at 24.

Thank you to anyone who has taken a few minutes out of their day to watch my videos, I hope they have been informative and most importantly, positive. We all need more positivity in our lives, especially on social media. Soul Sesiones is my passion project and something I hold very, very close to my heart. I am so excited for what’s to come in 2019!

My Reflexión

Self-love and self-care were major turning points for me this year. I introduced meditation, hot yoga, essential oils, incense, sage, palo santo, journaling, chakra healing, more spiritually reading and lots of love into my life. It was all alluring in its own way, each practice, act and reflection allowed me to vibrate higher everyday.

We all heard the phrase “live your best life,” this year and I did all of this and more in 2018. So many memories made this year which I will cherish forever and as I continue to reflect on this year, I am so grateful for life. What are my new year’s resolutions? I don’t have any of those, but I can say that I want to continue growing, loving, reflecting and welcoming infinite happiness, peace, gratitude and love into my life in 2019.

I also hope to make more meaningful relationships this upcoming year, connect with people that only see the best in others and are supportive, loving and serving a purpose in my life with only the best intentions. I will continue to treat myself with so much self-love, love with every bit of my being, never let go of my light, stop comparing myself to others and always make time to reflect. Reflection is my safe haven, it is my true peace. I will set my intentions in the morning, work hard, be kind to others, let go, find my peace in moments when I want to react, work out and find a balance between healthy eating and pleasure, learn as much as I can about mindfulness, practice my Spanish more and try not to complicate life any more than it already is. I am a simple person, but I have so much energy, kindness, love and positivity to spread to others. And I will. I hope this year also brings many surprises, I won’t allow fear to hinder my full potential in any form, I am letting go of that shit this year.

A few simple reminders we can bring into the new year, practice gratitude everyday, always remember your blessings and always smile! Don’t compare yourself to others, you are unique and powerful. Love who you are becoming because your individual growth is beautiful and evolving.

Finally, in 2019, “Spread love wherever you go.” Yes, inspiring and graceful words by Mother Teresa. Wherever you go, spread love in whatever way you know best. Without love, our lives would be so dull and life is not promised, ever. Love allows us to serve a purpose higher than ourselves, making life worthwhile, unique and captivating and we are so blessed because God is always there for us. His love for us shines through in the people we meet, the people we love and how we love ourselves. If you need to spread more love in your life, your being, your soul and your light, I hope you love yourself and more this year and all the years to come.

Wishing you all have a wonderful and safe New Years Eve celebration! We’ll talk in 2019.
